There is some research that companies that do this actually lower productivity and also the younger generation simply won't accept it - they consider their network their asset and you can't shut them off from it. Something many companies will have to deal with in the future.
This is an excuse if I ever seen one. At the moment Blogger's still up and when I Google myself (in the privacy of my own cubicle) I get a big green tick by the Fillmore Five listing, meaning that ScanSafe thinks it's an acceptable site.
