There is some research that companies that do this actually lower productivity and also the younger generation simply won't accept it - they consider their network their asset and you can't shut them off from it. Something many companies will have to deal with in the future.
This is an excuse if I ever seen one. At the moment Blogger's still up and when I Google myself (in the privacy of my own cubicle) I get a big green tick by the Fillmore Five listing, meaning that ScanSafe thinks it's an acceptable site. We'll see what happens. Right now my inability to pull my finger out and post is entirely down to... my inability to pull my finger out and post!
